Medical Transcription Curriculum

The training program combines academic curriculum with intensive medical transcription. The lessons are designed for independent study and use authentic physician dictation, sequenced by medical specialty. A professional medical transcriptionist provides feedback on progress, answers questions, and evaluates the student's assignments. Accurate transcribing is the focus of the training.

The  Medical Transcription curriculum consists of five 2-credit classes. Each required class must be completed successfully to earn the Certificate of Completion.

The program can be completed in one year by following the schedule outlined in the Sequence of Study.
