Technical Requirements                                                                                                      

The following are the minimal computer requirements for taking online classes from MSU-Bottineau.

1. An Internet service provider (ISP).  A high-speed connection is recommended.

2. One e-mail account at which you can receive important messages regarding your courses

3. A WebCT compatible browser. Mozilla Firefox is the recommended browser..

4. PC 1.2 GHz or greater (Intel Pentium or Celeron, or AMD Athlon processors

5. Windows 98, 2000, XP Pro or Home, Vista

6. 512 MB RAM or greater

7. 8 GB hard drive or larger

8. 56.6 kbs modem, DSL, or cable

9. 800 x 600 or greater video resolution and 256 color

10. For all browsers, JavaScript must be installed and enabled.

11. Some courses may require special software. Please refer to the course information page for that information.
