Committee Structure Including the Alumni Association and Logrollers Club
INVESTMENT COMMITTEE The Investment Committee has the responsibility of monitoring and investing the endowment funds of the Foundation. This committee is made up of at least three members of the Foundation Board and the Dean of the College. The chairperson of this committee is the Foundation Treasurer.
LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE The duties of the Legislative Committee are to work with local and state legislators regarding all legislation affecting higher education and make recommendations that will be in the best interest of MSU-Bottineau. The Legislative Committee is made up of members of the Foundation, the public at large, and/or employees of MSU-Bottineau. The Foundation President appoints the chairperson of this committee.
ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE The duties of the Endowment Committee are to establish policies and procedures regarding terms of acceptance of all gifts received by the Foundation. These policies and procedures will develop the parameters for soliciting outside resources for the benefit of MSU-Bottineau. The chairperson of this committee is the Foundation Vice-President.
ANNUAL FUND COMMITTEE The duties of the Annual Fund Committee are to solicit funds from local businesses and individuals within our service area. This will be accomplished by the Annual Fund Drive. This committee is made up of members of the Board with the chairperson being appointed by the Foundation President.
SCHOLARSHIP & FACULTY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE The Scholarship & Faculty Development Committee reviews and administers the funds used for student scholarships and faculty development requests as recommended by Foundation policies. The chairperson of this committee is the college registrar. The Alumni President, Logroller President and the college financial aid officer are also members of this committee.
DEVELOPMENT & PLANNING COMMITTEE The duties of the Development & Planning Committee are to develop strategies and ways to expand the base of Foundation endowments outside our service area. These ideas may be presented to the Executive Committee and recommended to the Foundation Board. The college contact is the college registrar. The chairperson is chosen from and by the committee with approval by the Foundation President.
NOMINATING AND RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE The duties of this committee are to recruit and nominate new board members. The chairperson of this committee is the Chairman of the Foundation Board. The Foundation officers and the Executive Dean are also members of this committee.
ALUMNI COMMITTEE In June of 1996 the MSU-Bottineau Alumni Association became a standing committee of the MSU-Bottineau Foundation. The duties of this committee are to carry out all projects, fundraisers and business of the College Alumni Association. The MSU-Bottineau Alumni Association Board of Directors and officers make up this committee along with the Foundation Vice-President and College Dean. Each year the Alumni Association has a number of fundraising projects including the phon-a-thon campaign, manning the gates at the Bottineau County Fair, the Memory Tree and membership dues. The Association's fundraisers provide monies for their annual scholarship program and for support of the Alumni Foundation newsletter.

LOGROLLERS In June of 1998, the Logrollers became a standing committee of the MSU-Bottineau Foundation. The duties of this committee are to carry out all projects, fundraisers and business of the College Logroller organization (sports boosters). The MSU-Bottineau Logroller governing board and officers make up this committee. The Foundation Vice-President and College Dean are also members of this committee. The Logrollers Club supports the athletic programs at the College by providing scholarships to the student-athlete. The club raises monies for this support through various fundraisers including calendar sales, raffles, membership and an annual golf tournament.
