The on-line resources available to MSU-Bottineau patrons provide literally millions of items such as magazine, journal, newspaper, and reference citations—many of which are full-text articles. These links are to paid subscription databases, thus the content is reliable.

Instructions for remote access:
To access these databases from an off-campus site, you will be required to login. For students, please use your 7-digit EMPL number (without the “w”). Your password is your last name.
Example: Login: 1234567
Password: smith (not case sensitive)
Other patrons should use their 14-digit barcode assigned by the library.

Ebscohost This research database indexes magazine and journal articles; many of them are full text.
- Academic Search Premier—a multidisciplinary database with full text of nearly 4500 journals and cited references for another 1,000 titles.
- Business Source Premier—Industry’s most used business research database with full text for more than 2,300 journals.
- MasterFile Premier—a multidisciplinary database with full text for more than 1730 reference publications dating as far back as 1975.
- Megafile—full text for nearly 12,000 publications with indexing and abstracting for more than 16,000 publications.
- CINAHL—Authoritative resource for nursing and allied health professionals indexing for 2857 journals.
- Pre-CINAHL—a companion database to CINAHL; it provides current awareness of new journal articles.
- Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts—indexes more than 600 periodicals and research reports on librarianship.
- Medline plus--A free site that is a virtual goldmine of health information from the world’s largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine.

- Contemporary Authors—Provides complete biographical and bibliographic information and references on more than 120,000 U.S. and international authors.
- Discovering Collection—Provides in-depth reference content in the areas of literature, history, biographies, science and social studies.
- Kids InfoBits--Designed for students in kindergarten through grade 5. Features subject-based topic tree search and curriculum-related magazine, newspaper and reference content for information on current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
- Kids Edition—This periodical database is designed for elementary school students. Includes access to magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
- Junior Edition—This periodical database is designed for students in Junior high and middle school. It includes access to magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
- Student Edition—This database is designed for high school students. Includes access to a variety of magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
- eLibrary—1500+ full-text magazines, newspapers, books, and transcripts, plus thousands of maps, pictures, weblinks, and audio/video files.
- eLibrary Elementary—Find answers from 130+ magazines, newspapers, books, transcripts, maps, images, web links, and audio-video titles, all selected for elementary school studies
- Ancestry Library—This database is a genealogy resource. It can only be accessed in the library; it is not available at remote sites.
