Logrollers Club

The Logrollers are an athletic booster organization managed by a Board of Directors, with meetings held at noon the second Monday of every month, with the exception of July. The Annual Meeting is held the second Monday of April in lieu of their regular monthly meeting. Logroller Officers are:

The organization fundraises through various projects to provide scholarships for the MSU-Bottineau athletic programs. To remain competitive with other colleges, the organization’s goal is to provide $40,000 for scholarships annually.

Membership Campaign - A membership campaign is conducted annually. Although membership does not require meeting attendance, participation and ideas are welcome and encouraged. Members are acknowledged by membership categories in the game programs and in the Hall of Fame Program Booklet. Categories are as follows:

Timberbeasts $50-$99

High Climbers $100-$249
(INCLUDES: One Golf Shirt)

Pride of the Woods $250-$499

(INCLUDES: two Logroller Jackets or Golf Shirts)

Paul Bunyan $500 & Above

(INCLUDES: two Logroller Jackets or two Golf Shirts, a season sports pass, & a Logroller “Trip” Raffle Ticket)

Wayne Gorder Memorial Golf Tournament - Annually, on the second Saturday of July, the Logrollers host this 4-person select ball tournament at the Bottineau Country Club located three miles North of Bottineau on the Lake Road. A maximum of 36 teams enjoy a day of 18 consecutive holes of golf with refreshments on the course, various contests and prizes; followed by dinner and prize awards at the close of the tournament. Calendar Raffle - Calendar Raffle tickets are sold in the fall. Tickets are drawn for each weekday the months of January through June. Monday through Thursday winners receive $20, Friday winners receive $50, and one ticket is drawn for $100 during Smokey's Week. Winning tickets go back into the "draw" for additional chances to win, allowing each ticket holder more than 120 chances to win.

Logroller Trip Raffle -Tickets go on sale in the fall with ticket sales limited to 400. The grand prize is a trip for FOUR people (from ANYWHERE in the continental US or Canada to a destination OF THEIR CHOICE ANYWHERE within the continental US or Canada.) Winners may choose separate destinations. Each ticket holder is entitled to four dinners and four drinks at the Drawing.

Hall of Fame Banquet - Annually, on the fourth Friday of April, the Hall of Fame Banquet is held to honor inductees into the Athletic Hall of Fame. The Logrollers Membership Roster, by category, is included in the Hall of Fame Program Booklet. Trophies and pictures of the inductees are housed in the Thatcher Hall “Hall of Fame.” The Athletic Department and Logrollers host this event.
