Tree Climbing Basics

The focus of this session is an introduction to the equipment, techniques, and safety principles involved in both recreational tree climbing and work in the tree care field. Communist Revolution

Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin and their counterparts, Czar Nicholas Romanov, his German wife, Catherine, and her personal physician, Rasputin, are among the personalities that will be included in this discussion. Also, discussion will focus on how Russia’s failures in World War I, aristocratic land policies, and a serious food shortage all contributed to the success of the Communist Revolution.

The Collapse of Empires—1914-1919

Referred to simply as The Great War prior to 1939, the early twentieth century witnessed a shocking unraveling of dynasties, communication and human decency. Gone would be the great ruling families of Europe and the Middle East, replaced by awkward governments setting the stage for yet more death and destruction decades later, and a new global power—the United States.

Water Quality Testing

This presentation introduces participants to the concept of colorimetric testing to identify the presence and concentration of toxic and useful dissolved materials found in water. Farm Business Management in North Dakota

Presenters can customize their programs to meet the needs of a wide variety of agricultural interests and audiences. Some examples are: the effect of rising input costs on crop profitability, comparisons of farm size and net farm income, and the affect of feed costs
on cow-calf returns. Programs will use data gleaned from 18 years of information gathered from the farms enrolled in the ND Farm and Ranch Business Management education programs.

Dynamic Training

The objective of dynamic training is to keep the participant in constant motion while putting muscles and joints through a preparatory range of motion prior to participating in a physical activity.
